Learning pop culture,let me improve my basic computer skill,knowing what attitude should I have when I mintier the pop culture events,objects,people, places.Once American movie and music were not as my entertainment chosen.But now I involve more frequency.This course much help me assimilate in America cultural nutrition with a right attitude.

Pop Star:Steven Spielberg

One of the film Director's name in America even the world is known by billions of movie buffs: Steven Spielberg, twenty years ago I still lived China, but his name had been mentioned in may TV program. His famous works as below:
Firelight(1964),Jaws(1975),Jurassic Park(1993).Schindler's List(1993),The lost Word(1997),Artificial Intelligence(2001),The terminal(2004),Munich(2005),War of the Worlds(2005)...He has more than five hundred works under his name. In his movies, combining the intimacy of a personal vision with the epi(electronic position indicator)requirement of the modern commercial block buster. Though his astonishing success delayed his acceptance as a serious artist for many years. Even his works have influenced twentieth century film making with his potent visual imagery and aural aspects.
He was born in Cincinnat,OH on DEC 18,1946.His farther is a machinery engineer, mother is former piano player. He glow up in the eras when children were taken care by TV. These experiences reflects in his works. Some critics said, his film maybe offer some influence in the lost of American culture, but he is a undoubtedly one of the most influential film director in the world. Why I introduce him, because his film, which named Schindler's List is one of my favorite movie. It is a story about a German business man in second World War how to save around one thousand jewess.I think this theme still value to see.

The stock of Crocs producers has skyrocketed in value over the past years. These looks ugly and earthly shoes are comfortable and functional for wearing. Some consumer claims it can help to heal some feet illness. They widely welcome by kids and people who work in standing long time and wet floor position and used in-patient who has feet pain problem. Because it made of no plastic resin formula (the producer claims) with high- tech, and idea inspiration of the shoes come from a Pacific North easterner who liked to boat or garden. Croc fad seems an ugly fashion in footwear field. Crocs represent a kind of rebellion--- vanguard of the comfort movement. It affected to culture event.

Reflection for Movie Review

In this part of class we started to learn a most important pop culture object: Movie ,Film. In the beginning,our first task is went to see a movie in Chicago international film festival. I have watched one of the movie from the Festival, Those Who Remain. This movie focus in which famines who have send brothers ,fathers ...to the U S and live behind of them people's life in Mexico It is a documentary film which direct by famous Mexican director Juan Carlos. After the movie the director gave the audience a speech .I also attended the interview. So that I know the director had spend 11 months with dozen Mexican families, living in their home, observing their lives and getting a sense of realities. In this movie I realized some of Mexico culture identity:Supporting family financial duty is belong to husband and brother. It is the same as traditional Chinese culture.
In order I have read text book: Seeing the Big Picture. I get some basic terms. Oscar Awards the official name is The Academy Award of merit;Trailer,is a short film which is utilized for film advertising or presentation.Since we learn pop music class we have learn how to post song in our blog. Brought the same skill, I can search some movie trailer on webside:youtobe and post to my blog.I will continue to post some my favorite movie to share with my friends. Through this activity I feel my life became more color.I really appreciate this class and my teacher Gitte.
One essay we have read in this class: Why we crave horror movies. It is written by Stephen King. He is an American writer of contemporary. He has published a lot of frittering tales for movies,novels.He has also authored many short stories and screenplays and has played cameo roles in several films. He is called a horror master. This essay is his attempt to explain why we love watch horror movie when he scares us to nightmares. The essay was first published in Playboy in December 1981.After I read this essay I understand the author has some view of human existing some factors on the psychology it agrees with some Eastern world believes or religion speaking: All people have mental ill. Horror movie like a roller coaster which we can ride to through those scene of terror. Our courage being building strong(without any real bodily harm or danger);When we watch those mental extremity sick's roles. we gain to reestablish our feeling: Our mental problems still light years. We feel we are normal: We go to have fun:Horror movie can be a very peculiar sort of fun indeed(or play).We can take off our civilized become a child a gain to watch such public lynching. then our emotions be allow free rein. around horror movie. We just like been invite in a sick jokes, a best party. The mythic horror movie, like the sick joke, has a dirty job to do. It deliberately appeals to all that is worst in us.
In this class we have watched the earliest horror film ,I feel I live back to the silent flick, and watch the Nosferatu.I only feel different from old movie buff, I don't afraid at all. From this horror movie, I have found our old fashion cultural icon.Horro movie develop to higher level, so are the audiences .
We have done some online assignment: To glance over 8 main genres of film. We went to 4 website which are four main movie industries in the U S.I gain some common sense from the film; Hollywood. means big money, big movie big budget, big film industry.Bollywood,is as a movie industry place in India, also means B movie while A movie is better products.
A another essay we have read in this partial class:Tyler Perry's Money Machine. This essay discusses the phenomenal success of African American writer,actor,and filmmaker,producer Tyler Perry.Nowdays.he is a new movie makes best box office on its opening weekend than any others,like Clooney and Blanchet. What makes this worth? Fist he is a playwright, actor and filmmaker based not in Hollywood, that means his films may not are big budgets. but his films open a other view that leads audience literally can't wait to see itself on the big screen. In his plays and movies, the characters are unsubtle,let the audiences realized broad humor radiance, I think that is every one in this morally corrupt of world most like those kind people around them ,even their own souls are not so bright or more dirty. In the other hand, his films give the new place for Africa American in screen. They are not the "magic Negro " belong to only the white world. He gave some own inspiration based on African American group's culture. His role was to teach and uplift the audience.

The so called culture of Shanzhai early was labeled as a genre of culture,it rose in year 2008.

What is Shanzhai:The original meaning is a village where close by mountains,mostly it not fancy,could be rustic,far beyond from administrative control center.Shanzhai culture has grown basic on Shanzhai products.
What is Shanzhai products?The early Shanzhai products in China pointed to some IT products,as mobile phone which imitated from well-known brand name and made from non-formal small factory,most of them are nonlegal producers.However Shanzhai products have lower prices and varies functional almost can compare with the genuine one.Especially they welcome by 230 million consumers who are come from farm,work in urbans' manufactures and construction site.They are main low income group in China.In just 2 years,shanzhai industries grow very fast,and expend to almost any other products.
Nowadays Internet as a chaotic space.pop culture's mirror,anyone can wearing mask to say whatever they like to.Between 300 million internet users in China,160 million users have Blog.Through Internet,a lot of user do not avoid Shanzhai products,but have been sending huge amount messages,divides and images praise warmly in Shanzhai.
Some art work copy famous signer or movie stars and many more pop starts play as a joke.In this point Shanzhai culture has a shape.Sanzhai culture is a counter culture in china.But seems become more popular ,lately some public performance also use Shanzhai for their slogan in advertisement. One of biggest pop culture event in China is new year CCTV show,this about Chines communist party control media has been dominated it for 25 years.in year 2009 new year shanzhai producer had tried to copy and live borcast on internet,but it was blocked.

In my glogerst,you first can find my dashboard which I published the photo of Chicago and Music City commemoration melds.My knees have been sick for sixteen years.Actually,I am not good at walking,furthermore running twenty-six and half miles as Marathon.But that is true,the experiences of running marathon will let me remember all time in my life.Jugging in life track of marathon I always need to be positively,patiently and insistently.Life is a long distance running,maybe some one slower,and some one faster in the the first part of range,but it doesn't matter,only who can finish the whole distance who is the victor.I used the marathon event to identity my life culture.
In one of my family picture,which i was took it when I was four years old.I still remember that feeling in when I took this picture:I didn't like my mom dress me up like a boy(I wore the clothing same as my brother).You can see unhappy appear on my face.I identity myself as a pursue beauty woman.

Movie Revie:Those Who Remain

On the gray wilderness, Dozens of swallows which full of the sky are flying in circled and lowed, a voice with baritone is singing a parting of elegy…This the first scenes in documentary movie Those Who Remain. The movie intimated documentary depicts the impact has had on the families which have had send sons brothers husbands to America in order to support their families living, The setting is in Mexico country side. With great balance and sensitivity, this intimate documentary follows a number of families who each share their stories. The out line of the plot was divide on several families. Among the plots give me empress deeply; a child around 5 or 6 years old is lying in bed asleep when all of a sudden he is awakened by his father. The farther kisses him on his cheek and says “goodbye”...A young wife talk by phone several times appeared on the screen ,the last time she could not reach her husband. late she was told her husband died in gun shook.... a young woman with her husband together live in Mexico, they have a new born boy,supose life is good, but wife never happy, she complain about her husband not go to America. and in the late plot her husband left her started the long trip to America...a mother with her two teens held a party for them going to across the board illegally to meet her husband. The daughter does not want to go. then every one started crying.... The movie give Mexican culture a identity. Once I thought Mexican nation seems always happy, one evident is their music...from this movie I see a real Mexicans nation. Its the time for both U S and Macao really have to solve the economic problem. For knowing the culture and economics of Mexico this movie worth to see.

My favorite movie

"Life is Beautiful" the movie’s name just like the story of the movie. In the story, a Jewish man name is Guido, through his own black humor that conveys to us a firm conviction - life is beautiful! Whether you live in a sunny peaceful era, or in the cold wet time of war; whether you are facing to sweet love, or against the cruel enemy, as long as you have an active mind, then you can have a beautiful life. A vie from the whole story of film, there are a lot of incredible plots. Like the beginning of the film's monologue telling: You can look this story as a fable or fairy tale. However, this fairy tale has an unique features, it demonstrates a hardy distinct identities of human nature, an optimistic life attitude. In the story thought by the hero Guido affect the persons who is named Joshua and Dora, also as well as many other people who are inside and outside the story. This movie has touched my heart, and some way help me took off my worry mind.

I one of my favorite song is 山不转水转，The signer is NA Ying.She is after 90s era most famous queen in China.In her a lot of songs you can feel mixing Black singer's melody and Northeast China folk song's soar.
This song early published in year 1990.It is in Chinese.In the song describers that nature world mountains ,water(rivers oceans...),wind,cloud.....and people's heart will change unpredictable.Do not despair, do not be tenacious ....
